- Foreign material (sharp metal and plastic). Two lots that failed Mars quality control were sent for destruction but appear to have been fraudulently diverted and sold. The cans may contain sharp metal or plastic pieces, which can cause choking, lacerations, or gastrointestinal blockage.
What To Do If You Have This Product
- Stop feeding the product immediately and check the lot code on the bottom of the can.
- If the code is 613C3KKCFC or 613C1KKCFC, do not feed it — contact Pedigree Consumer Care at 1-800-525-5273 (Mon–Fri 8am–8pm CDT, Sat–Sun 8am–4pm CDT) or pedigree.com/update for a replacement.
- Dispose of the food where pets and wildlife cannot reach it.
- If your dog already ate from an affected can, call your veterinarian — watch for choking, vomiting, drooling, abdominal pain, or loss of appetite.
