- Low levels of potassium, copper, folic acid, choline and/or vitamin B6. Multiple lots of feline milk replacer have inconsistent levels of vitamins and trace minerals. Neonatal kittens are especially vulnerable: deficiencies can cause anemia, neurological dysfunction, liver or kidney damage, skeletal disease, and cardiac compromise, and may be fatal or cause permanent developmental damage.
How to Check Your Package
Find the printed code on the side or back of the bag, can, or pouch — usually stamped near the best-by date and labeled "Lot," "LOT," or a date code. Compare it against the affected lots and dates listed above. If the printing is smudged or you can't find a code, treat the product as affected and contact the company with your receipt before feeding it.

- Stop feeding the recalled lots immediately and check the UPC and Best By date on your bag or jar.
